On Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Holiday Hotel in Sarajevo, the first Summit was held under the title: Women in Leadership Summit SEE 2019, organized by the Regional Association of Women in Entrepreneurship “Business Woman” in cooperation with the Foreign Trade Chamber of B&H.

The Summit was also attended by IUS representatives, Director of the Lifelong Learning Center, Ms. Hilal Karic and Ms. Mirsada Mehremic, as well as SAGE Project Assistant Mr. Mirza Rastoder.

In the third part of the discussion panel, which focused on Education, SAGE Project Assistant, Mirza Rastoder briefly explained the implementation of the Gender Equality Plan at IUS to participants and panellists, as this is the only institution with gender policies, and suggested that a similar initiative within public universities would be on time. Panellists welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm, saying that something would be possible and that they would work on it in the near future.

During the Summit, B2B meetings of Bosnian companies and companies from the region were held, in the organization of the European Entrepreneurs Network. B2B meetings were attended by Ms. Karic and Ms. Mehremic, who familiarized the attendees with the work of a higher education institution such as IUS, and tried to facilitate successful cooperation with companies with IUS in the future, of which our students, male and female, will benefit most.
