On Friday, March 8, 2019, IUS SAGE Team, Project Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr Emin Tahirović and project assistant Mirza Rastoder visited the Directorate for European Integration in BiH.

The SAGE team was welcomed by: Ms. Nevena Marilović, expert advisor in the Department for Program Coordination in the field of economic and social development, and Ms. Lea Nuhić, specialist in the Department for Coordination of Public Administration and the Rule of Law Programs. Representatives of the Directorate, among others, work on coordinating Horizon2020 projects.

The SAGE Team informed their hosts about the activities of the SAGE project, as well as the Gender Equality Plan in higher education that is currently being implemented at IUS. The representatives of the Directorate expressed their appreciation over the fact that this is a project funded by the European Commission and stated their support in hope for it to be fully implemented. Ms. Marilović and Ms. Nuhić promised to include information on IUS SAGE project in their future trainings and seminars so that all participants will be familiarized with IUS’s contribution to the implementation of the Horizon2020 SAGE project.

The SAGE team and the representatives of the Directorate concluded the meeting with the conclusions of joint support and action in the future, as well as unselfish support during from the Directorate’s side to the maintenance of gender policy activities at the International University of Sarajevo.
